Elephant Learning is a digital, supplemental mathematics platform for all three MTSS tiers while providing teachers with actionable insights at a glance. We cover from counting through Algebra and designed our Algebra curriculum to remediate University students struggling with upper level mathematics. Our curriculum covers the essential topics conceptually, allowing the student to participate in the classroom. Our adaptive algorithms meet each student at their individual level and so:

 

  • Students that are behind catch up at accelerated pace.
  • Students that are ahead are still challenged with new ideas.
  • The goal is to get the entire classroom, conceptually, to the level of the classroom so that the teacher’s efforts at the classroom level are effective.

We also provide continuing teacher education within conceptual mathematical training at the level of their students. By allowing the teacher to meet the student at their level, we facilitate guided recovery. It is like having an automated mathematics coach to help facilitate your teacher in the classroom.

 

We also provide videos and coaching for working with students with mathematics anxiety, as well as other products and services to supplement math instruction in the classroom. 

Position Summary:

You aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and help us strategize our growth. You demonstrate initiative and have the ability to think outside the box, pick up the phone, and track down leads. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

This role is vital to our continued success and will require the following: 

  • Responsible for sales of the Elephant Learning digital platform and any accompanying products into the Grades 2-12 academic market.
  • Accountable for a full life cycle sales role with its own individual quota.
  • Drive sales opportunities via cold calls, lead follow-ups, email correspondence, video calls, webinars, conference calls, etc.
  • Responsible for creating and conducting product presentations and demonstrations to customers, either in person or online.
  • Work with clients on pricing proposals for each sale (when applicable). 
  • Maintain records of all sales interactions with customers and internal departments using a customer relationship management system.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with responsive account management.
  • Maintain pipeline of forecasted opportunities.
  • Travel to further relationships and increase revenue may be necessary in the future. This could include 2-3 targeted events/conferences over the course of a year and select, high-value opportunities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in K-12 Education or Educational Sales.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Solid presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and track record of success.
  • Participate in ongoing professional growth.
  • Ability to remain flexible to change within the work environment and scope of responsibility.
  • Minimum of Associates Degree required.
  • At least basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with a CRM platform (ex: HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Travel may be required. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit for extended periods of time; including at a computer.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Must be able to carry up to 30 lbs. when traveling and/ or carrying materials to and from sales meetings, conferences, and destinations.

Work Conditions:

Home office environment with travel as needed. 

Compensation: 

Base pay plus commission. Additional benefits (healthcare (dental, vision, life), 401(k), etc.) also available.
